We’ll be keeping tabs on the potential for severe weather and the flooding downpours, but there’s a lot of work to do before then. This coming weekend, a storm system will come and finally offer some easing of the heat, but it will come by way of the thunderstorms. Some of us will near 100°, a feat not accomplished since 2012. Friday itself figures to be the hottest day of the bunch, with rain-free skies allowing all-day sunshine to combine with a hot southerly breeze to push temperatures into the mid-90s.
